Camels of Nahor Film
"Camels of Nahor" - Camels of Nahor is the story of Aryeh Cohen, a secular Jew, and Hadasa Green, the daughter of a Rabbi. The two begin a relationship due to the love they share for the writings of Israeli author Amos Oz. They explore each other’s world, exposing all the misconception each had regarding the other. Ultimately their secret relationship is found out and a scandal breaks out with tragic circumstances. Written and Directed by Igal Hecht, this 45 minute drama attempts to shed light on the ever growing hatred between the secular Jewish world and the Orthodox Jewish world. Camels of Nahor cast includes many of Toronto’s hottest up and coming actors including Anna Silk, Moti Yona Rosen, and Aaron Sidenberg. The film was shot entirely in the heart of Toronto’s Jewish community in Panasonic digital DVCPRO format, and has been edited in the facilities of the School of communication Arts of Seneca College.
