Wayne Cotter Stand Up
Jewish comedian extraordinaire Wayne Cotter is a favorite of the talk shows, appearing dozens of times with both David Letterman and Jay Leno. With Leno, he now also appears in a recurring role as a roving reporter for The Tonight Show. Wayne hosted the Fox television series "Comic Strip Live" for several years, and was seen in the feature film "Spy Hard." He has also been nominated as "Best Standup Comedian" in the American Comedy Awards, and has appeared in numerous cable television specials. While touring nationally with his standup comedy, Wayne is also currently the host of The Learning Channel's series "Amazing America," a light-hearted look at weird and wacky subcultures throughout the United States. A former electrical engineer and software developer, Wayne keeps up-to-date with developments in the hi-tech industries. Incorporating this background into his material, he has become a popular entertainer for such companies as GTE, The Discovery Channel, Glaxo-Wellcome, and IBM. One of the funniest Jewish comedians with a contagious smile - a regular on The Tonite Show for years and one of Johnny Carson's favorites.
